I teach in many different settings - sometimes on a yoga mat and sometimes in a suit. But the topic is always yoga and meditation. This, however, is a very broad topic and the different techniques can help us in many very different ways. This is why I have chosen the name MindYourself for my website. Because it points towards the different layers of yoga:

1. Take care of yourselfA lot of people live in ways that wear them down. Lower back pain is the most common ailment in Denmark and stress is number two. Yoga and meditation offer an efficient way to maintain your physical and mental health. Obviously this is not the ‘deepest’ approach to yoga, but if you have ever suffered from insomnia due to stress or walked around in constant pain, then you will know the value of wellbeing.

2. Understand yourselfThroughout the day you will have a constant flow of thoughts and emotions. Some of them serve you well and others less so. Through meditation and introspection you can gain a deeper understanding of your mind and your mental patterns. This can help you to navigate in your thoughts and emotions, and give you a deeper sense of inner freedom. Also it is a good way to make friends with your self.

3. Find yourselfMost people live with a deep longing after living their lives with full authenticity. Traditionally, yoga and meditation were developed as a path towards personal transformation, and through these techniques you can find a state of being where you rest in deep peace at home in yourself. The peculiar thing is, that this state at the same time feels extraordinary and completely natural. It is hard to talk about this level of yoga without sounding very mystical or weird, but the insights and states of being are very real and have a transformational potential.

Yoga and meditation have been a central part of my life since 1996 and I love to share the techniques with others. I am certified as E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance and have an MA degree in philosophy. I focussed my studies on Indian philosophy and spend one year at Banaras Hindu University in India. After my studies I studied body therapy and have participated in several research projects in the field of health science – both as a test person and as a consultant.

I offer lectures, workshops, courses and teacher trainings. Since I became a father a few years ago, I have restructured my work, so I can be more at home. These days I primarily teach in Denmark and spend a lot of my time on a few big projects concerning mental health.

BookNÄRMARE NÅGOT

Offers a Swedish translation of my book on yoga philosophy. The book gives you an introduction to the philosophy behind yoga that you can both understand and feel. The book got great reviews in Denmark and it has already been reprinted two times in Swedish. You don't need to believe in reincarnation or practice yoga to recognize yourself in the Indian philosophy.
